AI, Explained by SomeoneWho Has Actually Built It

Most of what leadership teams hear about AI comes from vendors selling something or national voices with no local context. Baseline offers a third option for Central Arkansas: education and advisory from a practitioner who runs technology at a CPA firm and has shipped a working AI system inside its audit practice.

How We Work

Start free. Go deeper only if it earns it.

Leadership Briefing

Free · 60–90 minutes

What AI actually is, what it isn't, where it's headed, and the five questions your leadership should be asking. Includes a live demo of a real system, not slides about one. No pitch at the end.

Workshop

Half or full day

Hands-on with your leadership or staff: the vocabulary that shows up in vendor pitches, the current tool landscape, an inventory of where AI already touches your work, and a privacy and security walkthrough tailored to your data. You get a written readout.

Advisory Retainer

Ongoing

Policy review for acceptable use and data handling, vendor and tool evaluation, quarterly briefings on what changed, and a phone-a-friend when a vendor pitch or news cycle needs translating.

What We Cover

Every session answers questions at both ends, from "is ChatGPT reading my email?" to what agents will do to professional work over the next few years.

  • The honest basics most speakers skip: what these tools are, what they do with what you type into them, and where the free tiers cost you.
  • The vocabulary in vendor pitches, in plain English: model, agent, context window, RAG, hallucination, fine-tuning.
  • Where the industry is headed, and what's real versus demo-ware.
  • The pitfalls: shadow AI already inside your building, training versus non-training tiers, vendor agreements, retention and disposal.
  • For CPA firms, a module on client confidentiality, IRC 7216, and workpaper handling. The same overlay adapts for law, banking, and insurance.

We Advise. We Don't Implement.

Anything that touches your systems is executed by or with your MSP, with your express written consent. That's deliberate. It makes us your IT provider's ally rather than their competitor, and it means our advice isn't bent toward selling you an implementation.

Every paid engagement comes with written scope. We are not your lawyers, not your IT department, and not a substitute for your MSP. We're the translator in the room.

Who This Is For

Businesses that handle confidential information have the most to gain from AI and the most to lose from adopting it carelessly: CPA firms, law firms, community banks, insurance agencies, healthcare administration. We also brief chambers of commerce, industry associations, and nonprofit boards across Central Arkansas.

Bring the Briefing to Your Team

The leadership briefing is free, runs 60 to 90 minutes, and works for a partner group, a leadership team, or an association room. If it's useful, we'll talk about what comes next. If not, you still leave knowing more than most rooms in the state.
